The Rundown: In order to get more medicine for his mother, Sung will be sent over to wall on a dangerous mission.
Sung Lim is getting used to living among his fellow Beasties after being exiled from the Inner Circle. Unfortunately, his mother is not faring well and she’s almost out of medicine. In order to get her more, Sung decides to confront the mayor with the secret he discovered and learns that even telling the truth has consequences.
Defeated, Sung is forced to join a group of other Beasties on a mission over the wall where Sung will discover not only dangerous creatures, but a colony filled with others like him who seem to know things Sung doesn’t. Unfortunately, Sung will discover betrayal on his mission and is surprised by something he didn’t expect.
The Story: Pak continues to craft an engaging and entertaining story in this issue. Sung’s continued journey through the corruption around him is compelling and I continue to be impressed with the world building in this series. There are some interesting and tough moral dilemmas Sung is going to face after the end of this issue and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
The Art: Galindo delivers some beautiful art in the issue. I love the visual style of this story and the unique appearance of the characters.
